The one liberal entertainer I think is actually funny is Alec Baldwin, in spite of him talking like that to his daughter on the phone, he's hilarious and I'll watch him for that reason, but as far as his ultra liberal views - no thanks.

Oh -- and I also watch Sean Penn movies. Doesn't bother me about his domestic abuse issues.

One was caught for murder years later...............she didn't like him

And both are morons to do so. In their chosen profession they want as many people as possible paying to see them perform. That is how success is measured in their profession. As soon as any entertainer opens their mouth and starts spewing their political opinions, regardless of what they might be, they are guaranteed to alienate roughly half their paying audience.

Entertainers would be best served by keeping their political opinions to themselves while in public.

If you want to avoid controversy, avoid these three topics:
  • Politics;
  • Religion; and
  • Sex.
Invariably someone will always disagree with your point of view on any of those three topics.

Jackson is a politician -- or are you putting him in the "entertainer" category? Maybe as a clown?

As far as the political commentators, that's another category and of course one would be more inclinded to consider their politics.
You just can't come clean, can you?

Gibson gets a pass on being anti-semitic because he's WHITE...first and foremost. After that, it's because he's an entertainer.

Jesse Jackson doesn't get a pass NOT because he isn't an entertainer, but because he's BLACK!! Get it?

Jesse Jackson isn't a politician. Hell, he's never held political office even once. He simply said Hymietown, and that makes him a perpetual Jew Hater. But Mel Gibson can not only say anti-semitic things, but he can be a Holocaust denier too with little criticism. Hell, if anything, it seemingly made him even more popular with Conservatives. Especially when i look at his receipts from Passion.

What is Jesse Jackson then and why did you bring him up in a thread about artists, musicians, actor?

He doesn't compare with Mel Gibson or Sean Penn because he's not any kind of entertainer.

Or did you bring him up to make it about race instead?

Jesse Jackson has run for president, he IS a politician.

I said right from the beginning that Mel Gibson gets a pass because he's white and Jackson doesn't because he's black.

That's not me making it about race. It IS about race.

What movie can we go watch that Jesse Jackson produced or played in?

Mel Gibson is an actor, director, producer of movies and people enjoy watching his movies. Just like people might enjoy a Sean Penn movie but not agree with his radical left political position.

Jesse Jackon's movies have zero receipts because he makes no movies.

For most Americans, the answer would seemingly be "no"...else, Tom Cruise wouldn't still be raking in millions.

LOL...ok. I'll leave it at that. But you know damn well that i'm right.

If Jesse Jackson made movies, there is no way in hell you'd have the same magnanimity.
