Interesting how all this "obesity" epidemic started after the 1998 BMI change that CREATED 25 million more "obese" americans! The BMI Change of 1998 | Big Fat Blog
Yep. Government will tell your kids what they should eat and drink because obviously parents don't know anything. I heard that soon they will be asking you to turn over your kids to the government as soon as they are born, so that the government can raise them in the best way possible. Parents suck. Government knows best!
Where have you been for the past 50 years?!? When I was a kid in school I remember very well how the teachers would insist that I "drink my milk."
Like MOST people on the planet I am lactose-intolerant. Maybe people of northern European descent can drink milk intended for bovines without getting sick, but most of us cannot. High time the schools STOPPED coercing human children to drink cow's milk.

So one day the government considers you just fine.
You go to sleep and next day wake up (same weight) and BLAMO, the government has declared you now obese.
Well then, now we have a crisis don't we since that change just impacted 25 million people who changed from OK to FAT and OBESE.
You know the government can easily end this crisis by changing the BMI once again. I'll bet the War on Obesity will end and Michelle Obama will be happy if they went back to the old BMI.
Isn't it funny how the government can create a crisis overnight and only they can solve it ?
The ill-informed parent's that will complain about this change are obviously the type of parents that will make up for the lack of fat in the school's milk by serving up high calorie, fat filled processed food at home..so what is the issue?

I didn't think Americans were overweight until I went traveling oversees.

Nah..they can get that in school. Fat free milk and pizza.
There's your processed food.
