MLK was not stumping for the "working class". So is MLK now the big labor union hero?
If Ryan didn't believe in MLK - why would he be there? Why waste the time?
Actually MLK was hugely supportive of organized labor and the working class. When he was shot in Tennessee he was there for a labor union rally. It is just after his death they sanitized his views to make them more acceptable to conservatives so that he could be recognized as a national hero.

He was there supporting the AFSCME garbage workers--an entirely black work unit--in their "I am a man" campaign. There's a big difference between fighting for the same job rights and fair wages as white workers, and for basic safety provisions--like making sure that workers weren't killed by unsafe equipment, which is what brought the protests on to begin with--and saying that someone is for the "redistribution of wealth". I don't believe in the redistribution of wealth, but I believe in fairness. Every American should. AFSCME | Memphis Strikers Stand Firm (March, 1968) AFSCME | AFSCME and Dr. King

That is just one event. It is insane to argue that MLK only cared about black workers. He had a pro labor track record all throughout the 1960s.
"While we are mindful of the shocking fact that less than one-half of all non-white workers are covered by the Fair Labor Standards Act, we do not speak for Negro workers only. A living wage should be the right of all working Americans, and this is what we wish to urge upon our Congressmen and Senators as they now prepare to deal with this legislation."
"Today Negroes want above all else to abolish poverty in their lives and in the lives of the white poor."
Wow a black bigoted public school teacher. Who would have thunk that?
I'm sure she's the only person in the USA that's bigoted against a politician
