We have a President (two in a row) and a US Supreme Court that seems to have very little respect for the Constitution. Courts are now consistently and commonly overturning the votes of the people. The economy is bad and though might be showing some minor improvements, its nowhere near where it needs to be and is not predicted to get there in the foreseeable future by ANY economists. Last but not least we have an American populace with a cult mentality that will follow with all their emotion anybody that will tell them what they want to hear.

I think a dictatorship is inevitable in America. Its not if, but when. It may be this decade, it may be next century, but it is coming. Do you think America today is ripe for it?

Judging by what I saw and heard among the crowd at Glenn Beck's Washington rally a couple of years ago, I know of at least ONE prospective dictator who has a following ready to accept him.

If the rampant corruption in Washington continues at the present pace we will be in deep trouble and I would be surprise that if in this century we have a military government. People in Washington, the so-called powers that be, often say about their foreign entanglements "The military option is always on the table." Well maybe they should think about that option right here at home if they continue to screw up like last 12 years.

It has been 200 years exactly since any foreign troops have been on our soil and and 147 years since there has been any serious military action in the Republic. Great. We are lucky but sooner or later your luck runs out unless to preparer for the worst. We don't think anything can ever happen here. We are too complacent. It won't last forever.

America slowly tolerates a lot more stupidity every ten years. Nothing would really surprise me.

Of course, a dictator will be killed hopefully.

As long as I'm not required to address him (or her) as "Dear Leader" I guess I am ready.

OMG...You people on the right have such wild and vivid fantasies. Why don't you people ever live in the real world. The Right are experts at inventing crap up to "scare" people. You people love gloom and doom. It's like really...save it for Halloween.
