I hope that Americans will come to their senses and replace the dollar bill with a dollar coin. If you don't think it's a good idea, tell me why. I think the advantages outweigh the disadvantages by far.

It is a good idea. I would extend it to the $5, $10 and $20 as well.

I think it would be good to start with the dollar coin and maybe increase production of $2 bills, eventually replacing those with coins too.
