Both the Confederacy and the Nazis have a military mystique about them. Both held off armies of vastly superior numbers, knowing they would ultimately lose but kept fighting on for years. That fires up the imagination.
I don't find it surprising that young soldiers are drawn to the flags and symbols of the military forces of the Confederacy or the Nazis. I'm confident it has nothing to do with the ideologies of either the CSA or Nazi Germany and everything to do with espirit de corps.
That's not to say it should be allowed. Just that I'm not going to condemn them as supporting racism.
Have we become a nation of stupid people or what? Who should give a flying ---- what those troops use to identify themselves?
Let's face it, folks...they kill people for a living and do it for YOU! If can't help yourself from nit-picking every little thing they do, maybe you oughta move to a commune or something. Better yet, move to some uninhabited island where you can start your own little non-violent, military free utopia where nobody ever offends anybody.
I guess y'all don't like their official logo either, right? After all, it's violent and has satanic symbols on it. Better squash that before our troops turn into...well....uh...WARRIORS!
LOL, and I suppose you would believe someone that told you the swastika stood for world peace. Only an idiot would copy not only a Nazi symbol, but the one that stood for the most evil, hardcore Nazis and act like it was no big deal.
The symbol you are speaking of is backwards from the Nazi one.

Yeah cuz we let people like you dictate to us what is politically correct, while we are out closing with and destroying the enemy, cuz otherwise.... we might offend the enemy and make them, like, all mad at us and ****.
P.S. The devil is a mean guy, but I'm still a proud Devil Dog.

Kind of makes sense if you think about it.
but it looks kinda, sorta similar, and our primary goal in the military, is we don't want to even offer the slightest hint that we may be offending anyone's sensibilities. The font police are everywhere these days.
You can call me racist or whatever you like. But when ya'll start jumping to conclusions and bad mouthing our men who are dying for you it is downright pathetic. And this thread started by someone calling himself Shabazz.Shabazz as in kill white babies Malik Shabazz of the new black panthers. You fools
I just asked the 2 Marines sitting next to me (my roommate and his buddy), and they don't think my post bad mouthed "our men who are dying for (me)". They also view the confederate flag as a symbol of racism.
What’s up with these Marines lately. First pissing on dead bodies now this? Is the constant duty rotations leaving no time for common since? If these guys were in my unit I would have slapped the **** out of them.
So, this photo was taken in 2010, the Marine Corps has addressed the issue, the marines in the photo are no longer with the unit, and MSNBC still ran this as though it qualified as news. Seriously?
Knowing that MSNBC reports nothing without the Obama administration handing them the script, it would seem MSNBC is doing the bidding for the Obama administration to smear our US Marine Corps.
Didn't even bother to read the story or you would know that had already been done.
do not confuse them with facts they see it as a chance to attack our fighting forces
