And whose fault is that? Who held and violated the public trust? No one put that rabble in charge. If ordinary citizens would actually stop voting for the same cronies that keep ripping us off then we would not have to deal with OWS.
I am not going to allow this debate to be all about OWS. Its going to be about what caused this mess in the first place. Fix that, and the socialists will go away.
Yes I do. The better question is: Do you believe that people should be able to erect tent cities wherever, whenever, and for however long they want? If you do then you wouldn't mind if I sent your address to the insane, alcoholic homeless in your local shelter that they are welcome to use your front lawn is a campground.
As long as we allow people to steal as much money as they want, yes.

The protestors are just in their cause. Our situation has less to due about people looking for a handout, and more about the control of power and wealth in this country. It's not a matter of people not wanting to work, but wanting to work for a decent living.
.
Then I suggest that they get better organized or when they come a callin in the spring with their bolshevik like signs they will find no sympathy.

This thread is about the expenses forced upon the taxpayers by the Occupy idiots. The first post was what it cost the city of Boston.
Since you are not going to 'allow' opinions in this thread, should we now address you as 'gwynedd1 you Majesty'?
Who is the Nazi trying frame the debate, Herr SS 928? That OWS protests cost orders of magnitude much less than what they are protesting seem perfectly relevant to me.

I say all of this as a business owner and someone who has gotten a glimpse of Wall Street. Our current economic structure is not sustainable. That's what the issue is.
I would think everyone could get on board with that but it seems that most signs read like a 3rd world Bolshevik revolution. They need to weed out the idiots (prob 99%) and stick with a unifying message.
The question people should be asking themselves is what are they doing about it. If someone sneaks out of an asylum to help grandma cross the street while I looked the other way dressed as an Eagle scout , it is indeed an embarrassment to me. The one thing they have right is Wall Street and the financial oligarchy is what caused, and will continue to cause, economic destruction.
Its the same question of old, "who is my neighbor?" What good is my nice, polite neighbor who does nothing?
The biggest threat in this country is not socialism. Its false capitalism that gives it legitimacy.
