Yeah, if only the US would do that.
There's no reason to be in these countries.
We are the agressor force. We are in the wrong.

Expecting people who don't care to care---seems like a waste of time to me.
You think that the Iraqi, Afghani, etc people don't care.
Great way to capture their minds and hearts.

We're in the wrong and you should care.
People are being murdered in your name.

I don't blame any country in the middle east for attacking the US agressor forces in their countries.

No. "We" may want cheap oil but oil companies don't. Oil companies want oil to be expensive. The Arabs would love to sell oil as fast as they can pump it and were it not for the wars, the prices would be real low.

But, BP want's Persia back.

Our occupation there is deeply resented by the populace. OBL was killed long ago. They routinely kill innocent children. They commit war crimes with no accounting. They target funerals with drone strikes. It's needless. Immoral.

All this was known when they volunteered..... Live by the sword, die by the sword.
Please move out of the USA and don't come back!
Do you realize that if it weren't for the US military, you'd be speaking German and pledging allegiance to something other than the Stars and Stripes.
Go away traitor.

Oh cut the garbage.
Talking points are not facts.
How is he a traitor, for calling it as it is?
We are the war mongering aggressors in the middle east.
How do you justify that?

What are you doing about it personally other than costing C-D forums bandwith?

Protests against the Iraq War - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
If you stop and read your own link, you will note that protests prior to the 2008 election numbered many thousands of people, in one case over 100,000.

More recent protests are the true anti-war types and those number hundreds.

It's a well known fact that the anti-war movement had a whole bunch of people pile on because Bush was so easily vilified (and rightfully so) and it was a hot political topic. With Obama in the Whitehouse, there has been an unending blizzard of excuses as to why he has essentially continued every single Bush war-related topic.

Guantanamo - no change from Bush
Iraq - followed Bush withdrawl plan, even tried to DELAY it.
Afghanistan - surged, no real change from Bush
Iran - Same covert activities
Lybia - NATO and covert ouster

Bush 3.0, feel free to explain how he isn't.

Kuwait might beg to differ with your short and lopside recollection of history.

I hold no illusions that we are always the *good guy* but people thinking we are always the *bad guy* or at least the only *bad guy* are just as comically naive.

How do you stand on what Syria is doing to their own people? Indiscriminately shelling civilian areas and killing random citizens with sniper rifles.

Do you think the US should help those people or should we let them just be killed by their government?

I think it's worth noting that back in the day, my aunt and uncle were some of the original anti-war protestors with regards to even Gulf I.

Me being younger and more gung-ho\naive was in favor of Gulf I and Gulf II.

While I still support our involvement in Gulf I as part of a post cold-war legacy and no doubt past promises....I've fully admit I was wrong about Gulf II and have said so to my aunt and uncle.

So, I voted for Obama hoping for more progress on reversing course from the Bush doctrines.

I've been bitterly disappointed and am disgusted by the warmongers whom still claim Sadam had WMD's and the faux protestors that were only there to help their political party which has been every inch the same as their predecessors.
