Indeed. Selling the stock makes sense when the price hits $50. Little patience goes a long way.

What saved GM was bankruptcy court, something the bail-outs were trying to prevent, but happened anyways.
As for the government selling the shares - lets just see what happens. Assuming it will ever get $50 (it's, ironically, down now) what happens when an entity dumps $20 billion of shares into the marketplace? You will see. We won't get our money back.

$468M per quarter doesnt come close to $7.6B for the year... Someones got their story wrong.
The fact that GM's profits actually fell?

Not to mention the unconstitutionality of it all, but breaking the rules seems fine to many so long as their team wins.
Another Obama success story.

I guess the only thing that can be called a success is the number of people that dont even have a clue what the hell they are talking about.. No surprise they all happen to be Obama supporters.

Can we expect Liberals to go nuclear over these profits like they do over the profits of Exxon and others? If not, then why not?

Baloney. They would have all gone bankrupt if Bush had anything to do with it. He would have ruined Ford if he could have.

It needs at least £7billion to pay its bills each month. Mr Obama is expected to argue if Mr Bush does not help GM, he will do it when he takes over in January.
