Then Obama must be a neocon - thanks to him and his cronies GM will not pay one dime of taxes anytime soon.

Apparently it is not the same as giving billions in tax break to the oil companies, or you wouldn't be whining about it.

In fact, this is a subsidy to promote alternative technology to counter the strengths of the well-oiled oil lobby machine.

Um, the original argument which I responded to, was a LIE, which I corrected. Just like your claim here that people are celebrating the collapse of the auto industry.

Take your medication because no one wanted the company to bite the dust, despite your claims. Not bailing them out meant they would have filed bankruptcy, just like they ended up doing, along with many other companies, including US Air, KMart, Sears, Western Union, Converse, and many many more. According to you, these companies bit the dust, right? WRONG AS ALWAYS.

Your complete ignorance of the bankruptcy proceedure in america is utterly astounding. Even Ford, Hershey, Heinz, and Disney has filed bankruptcies but they went on to establish huge corporations.

This is like a twilight zone of a post, with everything turned around:

-Liberals celebrating record corporate profits.
-Liberals celebrating a bail-out for an evil WallStreet traded corporation.
-Liberals celebrating corporate bonuses.
-Republicans trying to brag of bailing out GM first
-Republicans telling of the evils of this giant corporation.
-Republicans complaining of corporate bonuses

With a convoluted issue like this, with so many taking contradictory views, it's clear that in actuality it's a bipartisan issue:
-Corporations should not have received the sizable bailouts they received (from both parties), particularly since in GM's case bankruptcy court handled many of it's union and debt issues.
-A profitable, well run, competitive US corporation is a good thing for the US economy.
-GM owes the taxpayer, in a big way.

Also, they are freezing pension plans and switching employees to 401K plans. That is a good move as well.

GM moves from pension plan to 401(k) - Feb. 15, 2012

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- General Motors has shifted its senior salaried workers away from a traditional pension plan to a 401(k) plan, said a company spokeswoman on Wednesday.

GM (GM, Fortune 500) froze its defined benefit pension plans for 19,000 U.S. salaried workers and shifted them to a 401(k) plan, said GM spokeswoman Lynda Messina.
But, but, but....Obama's a socialist and socialism doesn't work!!!!

Two possibilities:
1- You don't work hard enough to make enough.
2- You consume too much.

Third possibility:
3- Both of the above.
I have known some people to give up jobs because of the distance and the price of gas was eating up their paycheck. Not everyone gets the best paying jobs today. Some have taken part time jobs because they were unemployed and can't find anything else. Ever hear of the working poor?

Tell that to the millions of people who still have jobs and incomes to spend supporting private enterprise. A little knowledge of how economics actually works, and not how it's explained on some tinpot radio host's show, goes a long, long way.

Get used to it: FOUR MORE YEARS!!!!

Who says I was whining about it? But you proved my point that I have made over and over that both parties are in full support of corporate fascism. Each side just favors their corporations and hates the other sides corporations , I appreciate your courage of coming out of the closet.

The car companies are private corporations. If there is 9 % unemployed, did you know there are 91% who have a job and some have very good paying jobs. It is called capitalism , not Obamaism.

The working poor and middle class will hurt the most with high gas prices. Families will experience high food costs as they try to feed their children with inflation hitting the food industry.

How patriotic when the right wing gets all warm and fuzzy over jobs being kept here in the good old USA. Great to see them supporting the American worker and manufacturing industry. This is so reminiscent of the way the country came together in days gone by.

Seriously, these are the nuts that get bent out of shape if the flag is desecrated, but the mere thought of a step in the right direction for the American worker and economy under Obama has them ready to defect. You know who you are and do you know how idiotic you sound and how transparent your hypocrisy is???
