Now they're on your private property. They're trying to ban smoking outside your home even if it's on your own property. How much longer before they're in your home?
You think Rocklin (pop. 57,000) represents all of California? lol...
Cancer is cancer, it only take a few mutated cells to kill the body. Califauxnia has become the undisputed cancer of the United States. We have become the safe haven for every mutant east of Vegas.
I'm kind of curious as to how much those people were smoking to cause 'health problems' in the neighbors children. We're not allowed to smoke on our property, even outside (it's in our lease) but just because you have problem with your neighbors isn't a reason to ban it for the entire city.
I live in California and LOVE it, and this city is not a representation of the entire state. Although, I will admit that they banned smoking in all public outdoor areas in the city I live in a while back and as a 'social drinker/smoker' I was pretty pissed off. Then, I noticed that the streets were cleaner, I wasn't walking through clouds of smoke while shopping downtown and it was overall much nicer. So, I keep my smoking to the designated areas and I'm more than happy to keep the rest of my town cleaner. Perhaps if smokers stayed away from sidewalks and entrances to businesses/stores and didn't throw their buts all over the place people would be less apt to try and ban smoking.
