I mean to use the death of 1500 people this is their final resting place and the fact remains that people lost their lives that night.. To make this into how the OP some how belives the Fed from it accident was created is pretty disrespectful and no matter what it is a sad accident.
Plus after 100 years it is still famous because of the huge amount of lives lost and that is was supposed to be the unsinkable ship that sunk on it's maiden voyage.
I mean ship wrecks happen all the time and heck even happen to modren cruiseships and I doubt the events on the Costa Concordia wreck will be even known in 100 years from know but the Titanic will still live on.
But then again the conspiracy theorist cann come up with how the Costa concordia was a major insurance scam and was not Really the Costa Concordia and then not have any proof to back up the claims..

Well in 1000 years it would be fun to see how things turn out it better be like star wars or star trek and Now one will Remeber or care about the Titanic or pretty much anything we did including our politics and economy.
Wasn't White Star Line building a 4th Titanic sister ship that was to be called Gigantic? What ever happened to it?
The Gigantic was built. She was the 3rd and last of the Olympic sized ships, and was re-named the Brittanic.
She was used as a hospital ship in World War I and was sunk by a mine during the war in 1916, somewhere close to a Greek island, as I recall.
One of the nurses who survived the sinking also survived the Titanic sinking. Due to warm seas, sinking close to shore, re-designs done on the ship and much faster response, the Britannic lost about 30 souls, while around 1,000 were saved.
She has been dived on several times- she sank in relatively shallow water.

Waylon Jennings was suppose to be on that plane with Buddy Holly, but he also cancelled. Indeed, he said to Holly "I hope your ol' plane crashes" (after Buddy said "I hope your bus freezes up").
J.P. was heard to say to a friend boarding the ship "I hope your ol' ship hits an iceberg and sinks".
