If she thinks it's not insulting in the least, then you've made your case. But I certainly would tell her that you found it so amusing you were willing to make her the butt of the joke.

I feel sorry for the president, his mother was a hippy, a liberal fruitcake, and that is what this joke is making fun of. The woman abandoned her very young son, then traveled around the world, most likely banging as many partners as she could.
I've never found low brow humor to be funny, whether it's this tasteless joke, movies like American Pie or Tyler Perry films, or shock jokes like Limbaugh. I just don't get that type of humor, even when I was a teen it seemed unfunny. If you get kicks out of making jokes about dead people, then that's your thing.
many jokes were made about slick willy during bill clinton presidency, but a comment about obama is seen as a sacrilege .
we have a debt driven economy. w/o deficit spending the job market would collapse. this is nothing like bill clinton economy. why all the respect for obama?
Uh except the comment was not merely political in nature -- congrats on overlooking the obvious.
If it were a quip about Obama being a socialist or something that would extend to Obama policy, then there might be a question about whether a judge should reveal his political leanings while on the bench, but that's about as far as it would go.
But when a justice reveals that his leanings go beyond just the political and have more to do with deeper-seeded prejudices against an entire demographic group of people, many of whom he has presumably encountered while acting in the capacity of being a judge serving the public, then yes, he'd better be ready to explain himself. And as far as I'm concerned, he had better be prepared to retire. There is no place for that kind of decidedly partial justice on the bench. Get his sorry cracker @ss out of the courtroom.

And you engage in additional slander. "Most likely banging as many partners as she could"? Where is your proof of that? Do you have any foundation for that belief?
This is not amusing. This is called a double-bind attack. I insult you, but I put the insult in the form of a joke. If you laugh at the insult, it makes you a wuss that anyone can insult you and you won't defend yourself. If you don't laugh, but take offense, then you have no sense of humor.
I fail to see the humor in an attack on a woman who died years ago, in order to insult a President. This was his mother we are discussing. Whatever issues you have with the President, you attack the President on. But engaging in this so-called "humor" diminishes you, not the President.
And yet for some reason she deprived you of those advantages.
