I really feel, as with abortion, that the deep underlying issue is women having sex without "paying to play" with pregnancy roulette.
Ask some wives if they share the issue. But don't expect to "get lucky" tonight.
this isnt really about birth control, it is about religious freedom. the federal government violated the first amendment by forcing religious institutions to provide some form of birth control, either up front or through their insurance companies.

as many of us have said, we dont care if women use birth control to prevent pregnancy. that isnt the issue. the issue is who pays for it. personally i dont want to pay for someone elses birth control. they should pay for it themselves.

Lets see...

1. I have 3-4 periods a year.
2. My periods are lighter and shorter, I am talking 2-3 days if even that.
3. My face has cleared up greatly.
4. I have lost weight.
5. Did I mention 3-4 periods a year? That's 3-4 months with no period.
6. Cramps aren't as bad.
7. I can have sex and not be all that concerned about getting pregnant.

Seriously, I could never go back to have a period every month.
I don't know why any woman, given the opportunity would choose to have a period every month...I just don't get it. Periods are gross, unpleasant and not fun. I have a choice and I am exercising it.

Am I paying for it if I pay for my health insurance and then my health insurance takes care of a portion of the cost for visits and BC?

I will try to find it and I don't know who exactly tried to pass it...
All I remember that it was on my mail in ballot and I almost died reading it.

yes you are paying for it, and so is everyone else that buys health insurance from the same company you buy your health insurance from. i have no problem with insurance paying for birth control pills, or viagra and similar medications, as long as they are NOT being used just for birth control or helping a guy get a woody. if these meds are being prescribed for other health issues, then i have no problem with insurance converage.

Why don't I get those rights too?
Just because I don't NEED birth control for a medical condition, that's not fair.
Why should I have to pay even more to take of myself and prevent a pregnancy? Ok so it's $26 without my insurance and $10 with it, that still saves me money.

I shouldn't have to pay even more just because of some religious right-winged prudes.
Even if I was married, I still wouldn't want kids, so don't even go there, just because a woman gets married doesn't make her a baby factory.

So are married couples suppose to obstain now because they don't want kids?

I'm starting to hate the people in my country more and more everyday.
Do you know what we look like?
A middle eastern country with all this religious oppression and these religious groups wanting to control everyone and womens rights to do whatever they want with their bodies.

And you know I pay like $130 a month for my health insurance, if I am going to pay that much I better be able to do as I damn well please and not have some religious nuts taking over control of my ovaries.

typical entitlement mentality. oh gee others should have to pay for what i want, waa waaa waaa. again i dont care if people want to use birth control, married or not. but if they are using it for just birth control they should pay for it themselves, its really not that expensive. try shopping around for the best prices.

really? i dont see women here being forced to wear burkas, or not associate with men that are not related to them, or not being allowed to go to school, or being killed by their parents because they dated a boy outside their religion.

as for religious oppression, that is coming from our government and the left.
