The UN also has deliberately bankrupted African governments through the IMF and World Bank by giving them impossible to repay loans for their country. They default, and the UN gives them the option of having their debt forgiven, if Widgets, Inc. is allowed to pillage their resources below cost and reap maximum profit and get away with virtual labor slavery. If they don't play ball, they will finance the local warlord who is ambitious to gain power and give him money and arms to fight the current government
the money never trickles down to the people in africa, so it is always in a state of chaos; just like here in some of the american communities, but people still survive.
