You're actually happy with an 8.2% unemployment rate? Seriously? It ain't fixed yet. Not by a long shot. And that number doesn't even tell the whole story.

Labor Participation Rate is a lot harder to skew in your favor because it counts absolutely everything, not just people who have applied for a job in the last month or two. Some people have given up looking after all. It also counts retirees, stay at home moms, etc. Like I said, everything is counted, so it's a lot more accurate.

And American workers pay gives them less buying power than we've seen since 1968.

Seriously, it's still broken. You might want to hold off on your cheers, applause and partisan self-congratulations and pats on the back until we're actually recovered. All indications are that we've flatlined after hitting rock bottom. The stock market is doing great, but you still have the same % of Americans without jobs. Those that do have jobs are being massively underpaid. Not much of a recovery IMHO. Not to the working class of America it isn't.

Much, much better. Real unemployment under Dumbya Bush was 15-20%

And also, the vast majority of jobs being created under Obama are private-sector jobs, unlike under Dumbya Bush, which were gubmint jobs. Federal government hiring is actually much lower under Obama than it was under Bush. Oh, the irony.

The numbers don't add up to support what you're saying. The percentage of Americans that are employed is still way down. It's much lower than it ever was under Bush. People are getting paid less too.

I'm not going to defend W. He was by no means a shining star of brilliance in the White House. Far from it. But Obama's tenure has been worse thusfar unless you're a stock trader. The Dow is doing great! Too bad that isn't benefiting working class Americans.

We're seeing a slight uptick and I hope it really is a recovery. But the spike in gas prices alone could kill it. At least we're no longer sinking, though I can't say being flatlined at rock bottom is very exciting. I'll be willing to call it a recovery when I start seeing an actual recovery. Looking around today, sure seems just as miserable as it's been since the economic collapse of 07-08.

The GOP will talk about Bill Ayers, Solyndra, and birth control. A true winning strategy.

These are NEWLY unemployed. All the thousands already unemployed are still...... unemployed. Eventually a submarine hits bottom and can't sink any lower. You can't credit Barack for that.
