I have seen the articles. I think the kid is full of crap and until I see evidence to the contrary I will stick with that.
No witnesses. No suspects. Gas can left behind (any prints)? Nothing but the word of the kid. Not much of a story here until some more facts are brought out.
In the case of Trayvon Martin there was an opportunity for the cops to do their jobs and they half assed it. Maybe he did attack him and maybe he didn't. Who knows but know thanks to shoddy police work we really won't know.
Well, this kind of thing is not rare in Florida, so it is not all that sensational. People shoot each other all the time. The race issues is the only thing which makes it sensational.

I wouldn't be so sure. There are plenty of white idiots that have weighed in with the same opinion. Never mind examining the evidence or the statements of witnesses.
If Martin was white and Zimmerman was black, Zimmerman would've been arrested and we wouldn't be talking about a possible "hate crime". But that of course, is a hypothetical situation.
I still need to hear more information before I can make a judgement on the shooting. I'm a cynic...
