Pathetic. The parents don't want to parent, and would rather the gov do their job for them. And what of those who don't mind their kids getting a treat at the park? These parents should be ashamed of their foolishness.

Isn't that the mindset of most Americans these days ?

LOL! Maybe its really the "Big Gay Ice Cream Truck" and their "salty pimp" flavor that these parents are really objecting to:

The Salty Pimp from the Big Gay Ice Cream Truck | Serious Eats : New York

Big Gay Ice Cream - Home

Sorry, I just couldn't help myself. Saw this featured on the Cooking Show my kids were watching the other day.

Your so right, and this why there is so many spoiled brats, hate saying this but that is true.

Too many parents today do not want the responsibility of discipling their children, are they too busy, just want to be a friend, don't have the answer, but see this happening way too often these days.
I see some children in department stores, or a toy store, when told no, they cannot have that pitch a screaming fit, throwing the legs, the arms, punching, what is this crap. The screaming got so loud, my ears actually started hurting.
And your right when a child is spoiled so badly from when they are younger, they grow up, thinking that they are different and special. And that the world revolves around them.
For those of you who do believe in discipling your children, good for you.

I know a few conservatives who buy whatever their kid asks for, doesn't have to be a special occasion, the kid asks for something and the kid gets it.

On the other hand, this is the kind of stuff you'd better be prepared for when you buy into the obesity "crisis" hogwash.
You think obesity isn't at crisis levels?

These are the same adults who expect their 3 year-old to sit perfectly still for two hours at Olive Garden while they have their meal - then act surprised when the child starts to fuss.

Wow, a 4 year-old got upset because they couldn't have ice cream??

I mean, the nanny probably had to stop texting for 30-40 seconds to deal with this....

Ah, no. These are the people who let their child run all over the Olive Garden, take food from other diners' plates and then act surprised when they are asked not to come back.

Parents who actually expect their child(ren) to sit still are few and far between.

Sadly, there are a lot of people with children who have absolutely no idea how to manage their child(ren)'s expectations or behavior. Or, they just don't want to bother.

Easier to make it someone else's problem and fault then to parent one's own children.
