Once again bypassing the people's representatives (Congress) and the legislative process to grab more federal control.

Ignore it and him. Both are pathetic.

Did you not realize that Congress and the legislative process are also Federal control?

Yes, because Congress is somehow not "federal" and would never have anything to do with "federal control" of something....

Besides, from the link:

Quote:
The Business Roundtable, in a statement Friday, welcomed the new interagency group but used its arrival to launch fresh warnings of “burdensome” federal rules.

“Today's executive order is a solid first step toward coordinating and, we hope, improving federal oversight of hydraulic fracturing,” said John Engler, the business group’s president.

“Business Roundtable CEOs recently discussed with the President how federal handling of this technology threatened to become burdensome, with overlapping authorities and unnecessary and duplicative rules. We hope this working group can cut through these complications and ultimately encourage further investment in the energy sector,” added Engler, who is a former governor of Michigan.

I don't see why attempting to streamline the rules/regs is necessarily a bad thing, either. Especially since the Republicans have been harping on this sort of thing for years.

Quote:
The order sets up a task force to “facilitate coordinated Administration policy efforts to support safe and responsible unconventional domestic natural gas development.”

Which part of that sentence do you disagree with? Or better yet, which part of that sentence do you believe lies outside current law/executive branch power?

But since Obama is doing it, they have to do the obligatory flip and sing a different tune.

Wow. If you believe Obama is a dictator then you have never, or known anyone who has, had any experience involving a real dictator.

Especially for forming an oversight committee to streamline safe natural gas development.

If it sounds like one, looks like one, smells like one, it must be so.

Since we're discussing dictatorship...
"The broad masses of a population are more amenable to the appeal of rhetoric than to any other force."
- Adolf Hitler

Relevant...
"Through clever and constant application of propaganda, people can be made to see paradise as hell, and also the other way round, to consider the most wretched sort of life as paradise."
- Adolf Hitler
