Now that I am retired I must be more careful with my $$. The Republican National Committee has sent me a letter a week asking me to contribute. I used to give $25.00 a year and it was no big deal but now $25.00 is $25.00. I am not sure if my contribution really makes a difference and really don't even know where it goes.
I already give $$ to other organizations and need to pick and choose now.

Yeah, I think the $25 to the RNC can be offset by your cancellation of membership to the AARP which mostly works against your interest so they can make billions.

No find a candidate who floats your boat and give the $25 directly to them. I used to maintain my RNC 'membership' by donating to them, but too many disappointments. If I had wanted to be a mind-numbed robot I would have been a Democrat.

If the OP is disenfranchised with the RNC then this might be a consideration: http://www.campaignforliberty.org/about/statement-principles (broken link)

Beer wins.

First I do not belong to AARP, they do nothing for people my age. All their supplemental insurance is for people old enough to collect social security and they are anti-gun. Can you guess which organization gets my money?
I agree with the beer idea, might go with that.

No, don't bother. Citizens United ensured that $25 donations are meaningless. Campaigns and elections are now even more geared toward the top 1% than before.

The awful awful truth.

The US run by and for billionaires. But you do get to pick either Soros or Koch to cheer for.
