If GMO foods are just as good as natural food then why is Monsanto so upset ?

Monsanto threatens the sue the entire state of Vermont — RT
Lawmakers in Vermont are looking to regulate food labels so customers can know which products are made from genetically modified crops, but agricultural giants Monsanto say they will sue if the state follows through.
..
Monsanto is going mad over the proposal, however, which would also make them unable to label their productions as “natural,” “naturally made,” “naturally grown” or “all natural,” if, in fact, they are not. For the corporation, it would seem that moving products and making money is much more of a worthwhile venture than telling its customers what exactly they are consuming.

Screw Monsanto. Vermont should tell that giant to shove it.

The other 49 states should sart labeling accordingly. Hell, might as well get it enacted.

Monsanto is almost like a comic strip supervillain. But where's the superhero to stop it? (I was watching the Green Lantern movie just a little while ago).

Under what reason can Monsanto sue? The truth is the truth... I don't believe their products are harmful but I think people should always have an informed choice... I still don't understand the "fear" of a lawsuit... there is no law against telling people the truth...

Just what we need. A mega corporation with deep pockets trying to stick it to Vermont. How in the heck can they think they can get away with calling something that is genetically engineered "natural?" Oh right they have money, that makes it ok.

They did the same thing with the cow hormone..sued because of labeling to say there was NO BgH hormone in the milk. They wanted the label removed and no labeling because BgH milk was just like non-BgH milk.
Go figure. When they lost they sold the BgH hormone to Bayer (crop science division).

Despite the Chicken Little hype of this ridiculous link, the fact is this: EVERY crop is "genetically modified" and has been for at least 100 years.

This is nothing new, and nothing scandalous. City folks just recently found out about it, and decided to use it as their next great thing to panic about.

If all foods are mandated to be labeled GMO or no GMO than they should also be labeled if the crop was grown in soil that at one time or another contained dead bodies of humans and or animals...

MonSatan reveals its true colors. Now more than ever, Vermont will tell them to go to hell where they belong. And take their Agent Orange and worthless GMO toxic waste products with them.
