Why should it? The typicaly Somali pirate isn't smart enough to operate and maintain anything manufactured in th US. We don't have anyone that manufactures AKs or RPG's for export. Any junk they get from Libya is old combloc stuff or made in China and Iran............

Why isn't the OP pissed that Obama did such a lousey job he allowed unsecured arms and missles to "walk"? Or, was this just another blundered illegal arms operation by the Holder DOJ & BATFE on Obama's watch?

Gee. Talk about gross exaggeration. I did not seee ANYWHERE in the article mention. "our Arms Manufacturers ... "

Please do tell us which of "our Arms Manufacturers ... " are you talking about.

And from your own article:

"At this stage we are seeing no evidence the pirates of Somalia are having any weapons beyond the AK47s and RPGs," Rear Admiral Harris Chan of the Singapore Navy told Reuters at the conference.

Russian coast guard takes down a pirate ship with their guns - YouTube
Russia has the best way to fight pirates which is to use their deck guns and shoot it like it was an WW2 naval battle.. I mean When someone has that kind of accuracy with flares, it is time to stop your boat.

Glad you got the point! They could be buying from us, they are not, ergo, our Arms Masnufacts are not getting the business. After all, we are the World leaders in the market.

The Arms Trade is Big Business

The Somali pirates have nothing to do with arms manfacturers in the USA and everything to do with Obama's failure to secure arms when he illegally used extended force against Libya (a.k.a war) without Congressional approval.

The liberals' idea of solving the Somali pirate problem would be to embrace them with hugs and send them $$.
