in california the top two vote getters for state senator in the primary go on the ballot in the general election regardless of party. polls show dianne feinstein, the democrat incumbent, to be one of the two. for the other there is a lack of name recognition candidates with one notable exception.......... orly taitz! polls show orly, who is running as a republican, to be in the number 2 position.

Ballot Access News » Blog Archive » Fragmentary California Polling Suggests Orly Taitz Might Place Second in U.S. Senate Race on June 5

i'm actually a little surprised. i thought the GOP would have thrown their support behind any one of the other republican candidates to try and avoid orly and her antics giving the party a black-eye on the national level.

pass the popcorn it's going to be a great show this summer.

No show at all--pretty much the easiest win Diane Feinstein's ever had in her life. I don't care which party you belong to--you'd have to be certifiably insane to vote for Orley Taitz. I'm wondering if a bunch of democrats didn't cross over to vote for her just to get her on the ballot.

unless 49.99% of the california voting population goes for the "sh*ts-n-giggles" option feinstein should have some pretty smooth sailing in this race.

that being said it will be interesting to watch what antics orly pulls, how much of those antics the national media covers, the GOP reaction to try and distance themselves from those antics than full circle for orly's response to the media coverage and the GOP reaction.

it's hopefully going to be entertainment christmas all summer long.
