Who, other than illegal aliens, would fear deportation? Even a green card holder has no reason to fear deportation unless they've committed a deportable offense. In that case, should they even be considered for employment?

Know what you are talking about before spouting nonsense! I don't know of one anti-illegal immigration person that doesn't hold the employers accountable and in fact wants e-verify mandated to stop them from hiring illegal aliens. We also advocate for those caught hiring illegals aliens to have stiff fines, losing their businesses and even prison time. I am so sick of the lies about the so-called "right wing". The majority of us who are "right wing" desire these employers and the illegals themselves to pay for their lawbreaking. The "left wing" however only wants the employers punished but not the illegals. Why is that?

How about someone with an expiring visa but an application in process? Illegal, or legal? Immigration issue, yes? Do you consider legally allowed refugees (but not yet citizens) as illegals and disallow idea of them seeking work?
The issue of immigration status comes AFTER the fact, when the job is actually discussed and agreed upon, by those hiring and applying.
There's a section in the immigration law that deals with refugees, asylum seekers. Entirely different situation, and they are not penalized like visa dodgers and border jumpers.
What that lefty group is doing has ZERO to do with asylum or refugees. Provisions are made under U.S. law for those special cases.
