Where is the blow back? Give me some names that object.
I bet Romney's spokesman, Ted Nugent, objects to it.
Many of the comments on The Blaze suggest that a lot of conservatives don't care if someone is gay, but they forbid you to be open about it. They want gays locked up in the closet for life.
No, I would no more vote for Obama than I would attempt to pleasure myself with a food processor.
Having said that, I'm not about to vote for the Republican version of Obama.
I want meaningful change. That will not be accomplished by electing either of the idiots championed by Democrats or Republicans.
Bad is bad whether the candidate has a D or R following their name.
The mainstream parties have consistently chosen to ignore, shirk, and abuse their Constitutionally mandated responsibilities. Why should I reward either demonstrably corrupt party with a vote?
1. Is it possible to pleasure oneself with a food processor? I haven't thought about that one! A vibrating cell phone maybe ... but a food processor?!?!
2. Romney just happens to be the most "gay friendly" of the Republican candidates ... that doesn't necessarily make him a "liberal." Certain complex social issues, like abortion and gay rights transcend the usual liberal vs. conservative ideologies.
3. Meaningful change will only come with a complete reformation of our political two-party system and an overhaul how we elect our officials. I believe as long as our choices are the Dems and the Repubs, we will have Tweedle-Dee and Tweedle-Dum. I've been trying to explain to Ron Paul supporters that even if he was elected President he would have to deal with both houses of Congress, the Governors, the Mayors, the Supreme Court, etc. The old Two-Party System would prevail.

I'm doubtful about the possibility of finding pleasure with a food processor but it struck me as a suitably extreme example....agreed the cell phone would be a more likely accoutrement.
I've not so much as looked at Romney's stance on gay rights and as such can't comment. I'm of the mind sexual preference is a personal choice and not the business of government. What happens in anyone's bedroom should remain between them and their partner even if the partner is a Cuisinart (yup, another food processor reference). As long as you're not hurting kids or helpless small furry animals what you do for pleasure should be no one's business but your own.
Agreed the only real chance of meaningful reform is a complete reformation of the system but I'm drawn to Ron Paul as a candidate as he is the only person running within the mainstream that seems to recognize the need for actual change. Again, I harbor no illusions about his winning the nomination (which I believe is a sad testimony to the average voters predilection to self-abuse) but believe his support of Constitutional principles would enhance personal freedoms and benefit us as a nation. I'm put off by the partisan's continual assertions that their preferred candidate is somehow better than the equally corrupt candidate being pimped by the other side due to little other than the letter following his name.
I've little doubt I'll once again be left with no choice other than voting 3rd party as I refuse to vote for a candidate that doesn't support my beliefs.

If you say so
Gays are no different them vegetarians and nonsmokers, no one cares if you are any of these things, but don't parade it around us, lord it over us, and expect, and even demand, that we change our lives to accommodate yours.
