As it stands now, 49.5% of American pay no taxes, and of these 49.5% who pay nothing, many receive taxpayer money back in the form of tax exemptions and rebates. Many of the same people also scream that the 50.5% of Americans who do in fact pay taxes, aren't paying enough. My question is this... should the 49.5% who pay no taxes be afforded the privilege of voting, seeing as they have no stake in society, or should only those who are productive and contribute be allowed to vote?

Why is it the stupidest members on here posts the most threads? You don't want the handicapped or elderly to vote? Such an appaling and out there thought there's nothing I can say since I don't argue with insane people.

I think everyone should get one vote but taxpayers should get an extra vote for every $10 of federal income taxes they pay
