Congrats to Houston for that city's efforts to cut costs via green technology. Way to use those stimulus funds!

Why is that? My private hauler just started picking up recyclables for free, they get paid for them . You don't even have to separate, it's single stream.
25 Nissan Leafs and 15 hybrids in a city of 2+ million? C'mon. Get real.
A lot of Houston's 1,200+ city buses are hybrid diesels too. I'd have to get an exact count, but its quite a few.
Houston's Metro bus fleet is one of the largest, most used, & busiest city bus fleets in the country. Prior to opening its light rail in 2002, Metro was the largest all bus fleet.
