Several leaders in the African American community are seeking justice for the teenager accused of torching the dog named Justice.
Stomachs dropped at the images of Justice, a mixed breed puppy that was doused in lighter fluid and set ablaze earlier this month. He had second and third-degree burns over 70 percent of his body and died 10 days later.
Eighteen-year-old Darius Ewing later turned himself in to Dallas police on animal cruelty charges. His bond was set at $100,000.
But Ron Wright of Justice Seekers Texas said bond is not that high in some murder cases.
"The bond set at $100,000 for killing a stray dog is an insult to the African American community," he said.
According to some people, race is everything, especially when it comes to crime.

When certain folks make threads, it's to be expected.
The thread title is copied verbatim from the article's title, take it up with them. Evidently someone thought these individuals are Black leaders, they certainly aren't my leaders but I'm not African-American either.

If you were actually black, you would be. But hey...i'll play along with the charade as long as you wanna keep it up.
I am Black, just not African-American. Black does not necessarily equal African-American. One can be Black and Jamaican, Haitian etc.
