Will she run for office in Switzerland, now?

I believe Bachmann serves on the intelligence committee.
What will prevent her from giving classified info to our Euro-socialist rivals?
What a bizzare post.

Switzerland is a rival? In what twisted reality?

What stops people from doing anything illegal? Character.

That's part of the oath of naturalization... but it's simply a ritualistic symbol. Since foreign nations are sovereign states, they have no obligation to recognize any renunciation made at naturalization, and most folks remain dual citizens even after having taken the oath.

US citizens at birth take no oath, and there is no requirement under US law that they renounce US citizenship to become citizens of other nations.

Thanks for your information. I suspect she's not the only member of Congress to have dual citizenship. Check all the Irishmen in Congress, now or previously. I think there will be a long list. But I doubt any/many would want that known publicly.

Doesn't this ... or shouldn't this ... make her ineligible to serve in Congress?
Why would it? Maybe you would like to point out which part of the US Constutition you think (and I use the term loosely) prohibits this?

Since you probably have never actually read the US Constitution, I'll help:

The United States Constitution - The U.S. Constitution Online - USConstitution.net

Does she swear allegiance to a foreign nation? If so that is messed up.

Not just congress. At least the following Presidents have all been dual citizens:

Tyler, Taft, Truman, Arther, Eisenhower, FDR and JFK,

Kennedy was a triple.

There is no issue with holding dual citizenships.

Obama himself held dual citizenshps until he was 18, and the left defended that to no end, now all of a sudden they have issue with it.
He did? To what countries?

I just thought a "Real Patriotic American" from the Right like Bachmann who talks a very patriotic game wouldn't be going out and giving her allegiance to other nations.

On the other hand... then can go ahead and keep her!
