Leave it up to a Georgia Republican to try to alter a prevision that’s needed now more then ever. Right now we’re witnessing one of the largest voter suppression efforts in recent time.

The GOP is obsessed with removing African-American voting rights.

It is all part of their campaign to re-enslave blacks.

Nefarious, indeed.

The courts may very well invalidate it in the near future.

Agreed. And they wonder why we view their positions as extreme. We recognize the similarities between the average GOP stance towards equality and the stances of extreme groups like the KKK, etc…

Hopefully not! The only people who would want that is the individuals who would like to have the US as it was in the 1950s…

I wish Black Caucus members were as respectful of the rights of gays, and Muslims as they are rightfully protective of their own rights. Seems like we are all in this together. They are also very dismissive of criticism of Obama. Obama is going to allow cuts to social security, and refuses to moderately raise taxes on the wealthy. All these Trillions Obama wastes on absurd military spending and needless wars could have been spent helping the people here.

Clearly the OP shows lack of understanding of the law WHEN it was enacted... those conditions don't really exist anymore... it will eventually be invalidated... its become a tool to recruit more Democrat voters rather than protection of voting... why do liberals continue to try to mislead people with lies..

And you are clearly ignorant of the fact the law was reaffirmed in two court cases this year......LOL

Where those hoping to reduce the level of minority voting, thus votes for Democrats, lost.

Why can't you reach a basic understanding of the legal situation before commenting on it? Are you misleading?

Absolutely. Along with their attacks on women, gays,..etc I don't think the GOP will be happy until they bring us back to the dark ages.

I'm sorry, but didn't the article say that the bill drew sharp criticisms from both Republicans and Democrats????
