Michigan appears intent on "correcting" the problem of too many Dem voters. They know they can't gather them all up and put them into "reeducation camps", so the next best thing, shut down the schools until they can install a private system in to allow the students to get "properly trained". Stunning...

Never been to Michigan, have you Bob?

For years Michigan was a democrat union paradise and now they are paying the price or, to be more correct, stealing the food out of the mouths of children.

The answer is simple, raise the property tax rates on people living in the community.

I was born and raised in Michigan and I hate to see it being dismantled, particularly the Education System that served my brothers and I so well.

Yes. I am the youngest of three. The oldest is a die hard Limbaugh fan and FOXbot, the middle was a Liberal Minister that was marching with Dr King in Selma and I am a Centrist that believes in a two Party system of cooperation. All of us have advanced degrees. So yes, I think a well rounded Education System, as was what Michigan provided, served all of us well.

The forum should consider filing a class action law suit and hiring Orly Taiz as our lawyer

Anyways, the district took money and did not use it for the attended purpose. Translation they stole money. On top of that they are running a deficit and have not come up with a plan to address it. So what should have been done, Bob?

I would say they work out the difference and discrepancy, but not sacrifice the students in the process.

Oh no, the students SHOULD pay the price... and the parents who helped facilitate this lack of accountability.

Sorry, but this needs to happen MORE so these losers get the picture.

Looks like they did it to themselves.
Kept money for students not enrolled, ran a deficit with no plan to fix and depended on state money to pay their bills.
Another textbook example of what happens when you don't take care of your finances.
No sympathy from me.
