The 400K that just lost their unemployment checks will have to now shift over to the welfare rolls, which CA already owns 33% of all welfare in the USA. They can rest well at night knowing that the sanctuary state will make sure the undocumented get their checks and food stamps however. Giving comes with a huge price tag.

Disagree with your "especially private sector" selection of looking at payroll size. Start with the government payroll where redundancy is rampant and new departments are created at the drop of a hat.
