Pssst, Rev. Wright and Louis Farrakhan are not the same person.

The comparison is like if I go to a Mel Gibson movie I must be an anti-Semite and a girl friend abuser.

There is a limit to guilt by association. According to this logic President Obama is an anti-Semite because Louis Farrakhan is an anti-Semite who received an award by Rev. Wright who Pres. Obama is a parishioner.

The Church did not give Farrakhan their "man of the year" award. Trumpet Magazine which was run independent of the church gave Farrakhan an award. The award was not an endorsement of everything Farrakhan stands for. I can think of several areas where members of Trinity UCC would have huge disagreements with Farrakhan. Like treatment of Women and the LGBT community. Members of Trinity UCC would not be supportive of anti-Semetic views or attitudes.

Give that kind of break to a Republican candidate who attended KKK meetings for 20 years. and maybe someone on this forum might believe you then.

Show me the KKK chapter that is a member of the Nation of Islam or New Black Panther Party and maybe your implied equivalence would have some merit. Trinity UCC is voluntarily a member and huge supporter of a predominately white (91%+) denomination.
