Here was a kid who had the world by the tail, and an amazing future ahead of him, but was tossed in the slammer for 5 years due to a false accusation of rape. It was a weak case with zero forensic evidence, but a prosecutor pressed on and Banks accepted a plea deal on advice of counsel. He didn't do it. The 'victim' went on to get a $1.5 million settlement from taxpayers for the rape that never happened. She is likely to go scot-free. And it goes without saying that the prosecutor will never be held accountable for the years that he/she stole from this young man. After all we, have a caste system now in this country, and prosecutors are the most special caste.

There is something seriously wrong with our judicial system when you can be sent to jail for being accused of rape, even though you didn't do it, but another person can lie to police, get $1.5 million for it and not even have any charges brought against them.
So? There are thousands of people wrongly incarcerated, and some have been executed. We know that only the rich can afford justice. And?
And it makes me want to string up a sleazoid prosecutor who would do this, typically to advance a politcal career, and a trial lawayer who would play along for his 33 percent of $1.5 million ripped off from the taxpayer, not to mention 5 years of life stolen from this young man.
