We provided funding for UHC for all Iraqis as provided for in the new Iraqi Constitution. Three trillion dollars for bombs, but no UHC for Americans. We got screwed on both ends of this deal.

If we had Universal Healthcare we wouldn't need Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

You'd still need SS; it covers more than medical.

Take the budgets from Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security, subtract the profits the insurance companies are hoarding, and you have available healthcare for ALL American citizens.

Good point.

I'm not a fan of SS because its budget is unsustainable. I'd prefer Americans pay into other savings programs.

I'm a Millenial. I won't get to see SS one way or another.

I'm really surprised that none of the anti-healthcare gang is condemning the Bush administration over this...

In the minds of the brainwashed radical right, everything someone with an (R) next to their name does is always right, and never should be questioned.

I'm just tired of all of the partisan bashing. Its getting SOOOOOOOOOO old. It's the leading cause in the downfall of this country.

As much as I bashed Bush during his presidency, I respect the guy and really appreciate his humble attitude after leaving office. It seems like he understood that he made some mistakes and understands now that party championing is not what its all about. It's about building a better country. So many Americans forget about that.

Looks like the money was for the government to build hospitals and medical centers.

I don't think he's being humble in the least. I think he's in hiding, and terrified to go out in public like his Father, Clinton, and Carter do regularly.

He built his own prison. Let him rot in it.
