This should make some of us older people comfortable.

Pearls before swine bob.

Folks here will argue to the death that if we just follow the advice of Glen Beck and Rush Limbaugh, we do not need scientists, who are all closet communists anyway. The invisible hand will solve all these problems. They need no one. They have it all figured out. So long as we have economic growth and financial liberty, all is well. The wealthy will fund our science. They have only the best of humanity and all those other species in mind at all times.

The fact that people have driven hundreds of species extinct and continue to do so every day doesn't matter. Those are all lies made up by America-hating liberals, anyway. They read it on their favorite blog. Welcome to the 21st Century.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to determine that we don't need more people on this earth.

And don't worry about extinct species. If you believe in evolution, they will come back and be better adaptive to the new world.

From your link............

"The authors of the Nature review – biologists, ecologists, complex-systems theoreticians, geologists and paleontologists from the United States, Canada, South America and Europe – argue that, although many warning signs are emerging, no one knows how close Earth is to a global tipping point, or if it is inevitable."

So they are basically saying your guess is as good as mine. Good thing the folks at Bezerkly have something to do other than take LSD and play the bongos on the street corner nowdays at least.

Ok, but are you saying we don't need scientists? That is what I usually read. Scientists around the world are overwhelmingly liberal. How do you feel about that?

Not even going to look at the link.....

However, is this the same thing that caused a Florida airport to changed the heading of run ways?

It happens....

We do need scientists.

We don't need scientists studying useless stuff like what happened 200 million years ago or trying to guess what will happen 100 years in the future. Those guesses are useless.

Don't worry, there isn't enough blacktop to coat the whole planet, they'll leave some insecticide coated "green zones" for us to play in.

Serious for a moment, if they don't do something soon we are going to lose our honey bees. My buddy has lost three batches to this hive collapse syndrome. Maybe the canary in the coal mine???
