Why is the US taxpayer forced to support this? Pakistan should be paying for the care of their own children...

"A Taliban commander in Pakistan’s tribal belt has banned a vaccination campaign against child polio in protest over frequent United States drone attacks there. Hafiz Gul Bahadur said that the U.S.-funded vaccinations for tens of thousands of children would be outlawed until drone attacks stopped.
If they want it stopped, then by all means stop it immediately! That's like a prisoner going on a hunger strike - it only hurts them. I'l like to see our money spent elsewhere, like here at home. Maybe buy a few more F-35s.
Reminds me of "Blazing Saddles" where Cleavon Little takes himself hostage at gunpoint...
The OP has not the slightest clue on how things in either Pakistan or the Pashtun regions of the Country are operated so this post is nothing more than garbage.
That being said, humanitarian aid should be provided from a strictly altruistic perspective in these regions much like the rest of the world.....We should however cut our Military budget
Humanitarian aid only feeds the beast because guess who always gets to dole out that aid. Be it food or medicine or whatever. The people only see it when the big dogs decide they can see it. It in effect helps them retain their power. Cut it all and let the people overthrow em or starve.
listen, I have been there and I bet you have not. I know what providing SOME aid can do to these regions...Do I think the US spends to much on foreign aid, NO. Do i think we spend to much on the military industrial complex that creates more problems in those regions...YES. There is nothing bad or cost inefficient about providing aid to foreign parties......It actually helps our cause.....Again something you likely have no experience in so you should not comment. But when we are in a forward area under hostile circumstances, then yes, we need to back off.
No I have been in Afghanistan and in the Pashtun regions of Pakistan.....I see where our Aid gets us with the locals and I see where our drone strikes get us....
Kind of hard for terrorists with polio to wage a successful war campaign. Hopefully the rest of the fundamentalist muslims in the world will also refuse the vaccine, lol.
Seriously if you are concerned about the humanitarian side of people doing without the vaccine, blame this on the leak in the Obama administration about how they got Bin Laden's DNA.

Do you have first hand exposure to the US humanitarian aid in that region?
