This is crazy. The troops didnt do this on purpose to create riots in that 17th century country.

Did they follow protocol?

Could just be standard disiplinary action for not following rules and regs regarding destruction on sensative materials.

What would happen at your work if you didn't follow certain policys and procedures?

Sure throw our own troops under the bus to appease the delicate sensitivities of savages.

Sure, i too can see your point. These people have no sensitivites what so ever, when it comes to murder of anyone innocent person they need a reason to kill. Or when they are burning our flag in prtoest of their hate for our Country.
But there must be a protocol that must be followed, and this is sad.

Old news, but really, who cares? They were burning trash. It's way past time to get our military men and women out of that 13th century hellhole and let Muslims go on killing each other. It's not worth the life of another American military person to try to make things better for them.

If they're too stupid to know that this would cause problems, as an occupying force in a country, then they're too stupid to be in the military at all.

NJD is something like an Article 15.
It's basically a hand-slap for getting other military members killed by stupid actions.

So you were never for going over there to "liberate" the savages?

So why did we go to two different nations (with your blessing....and don't say otherwise) to liberate and help rebuild the countries of the savages?

Amazing how you two have turned against the very people you wanted to help in the first place, as if you didn't know they were Muslims back then.

You wanna be able to traipse around their country and do what you want without following their laws. Well then, what was the point of this decade long exercise?

The military is probably just doing this slap on the wrist to appease the fanatics over there that are up in arms over it, and I get that aspect of damage control if you will, but I still say forget that, stand up for your citizens and personnel in the military.
No wonder it seems like more people don't want to join the military. When you're willing to risk your life and your own top ranks are willing to sacrifice you like that, I wouldn't either.

No matter my feelings, they were ordered to respect that book and they didn't. Disobedience to orders.
