Congress passes transportation bill, halts student loan rate hike - latimes.com
In a rare show of action they actually passed it. And with several hours to spare. They dragged their feet for months before deciding to take action. I suppose we should be thankful they actually got it done. But if members of Congress were paid by the amount of useful work they do, they would all quit because their pay would be less than minimum raise. But considering the bar has been lowered we should take what we can get. And we will be re-electing them in November, right?

105 billion is better then nothing but nowhere near enough. 1 trillion would be more like it and would go a long way for both unemployment and the much needed fixing and expansion of our roads.
