If a private school can provide a better education then why not? Are your concerns providing the best possible education to kids or politics?

This is the proposal being floated here in PA. The student will be able to apply to any public or private school, they take their state funding with them to whatever school they will attend. the best performing schools will have an abundance of students and the worst one will go bye bye. They will pilot this program in the worst performing and generally speaking poorest districts in the state mostly in and around the cities of Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.

The money should follow the kid not the school is on the Texas Republican platform. Don't know if it included religious schools.

So society should give people money to pay for private services? Big gubiment if you ask me.

Let's give them money to go to restaurants too.

Under this plan these are funds already being spent on that child, it's the absolute opposite of big government because you're empowering the individual parent to choose where those funds go.

The government is covering the bill for costs incurred from a private business

Sounds like big gubiment to me.

Will they pay for my vacation and give me the choice of where I can go, we can call it empowerment.

Funny how if the money were to go to health care you'd call it socialism, but because it goes to school its freedom.

Boy, you conservatives sure know how to move those goalposts. It's an amazing sight to see. It's a thing of beauty watching the flip flop when it suits you.

And if these funds go to support Muslim schools? Are you okay with that?
