they would get better results if they polled 10% of voters instead of 10k voters.

Ok......then tell me. Does this poll accurately describe the views of ALL the physicians in this country in general? Remember, you are the first line of defense against propagating future right wing mass emails starting with "did you know.".

It's not the sample size, it's the lack of randomness. The questions are really poorly designed as well, but that's just noise compared to the sample selection - whether it's by design or just a pathetic lack of competence.

My dentist and doctors are all in Thailand.
I figure I'm there every year, might as well get it done with high quality and low price.

I have insurance and even with the flight, it's cheaper in SE Asia.

My post is as close to true as the OP's...............give me a break!!
Your post is pathetic and I really am not in the mood for uneducated humans. Let me ask you this, how many doctors graduate each year. Next. how many go on to more studies for a specialty? How many just start up a general practice?

It used to be one would see his or her doctor at the office. When the patient was sick the doctor would admit them and then come see the patient in the hospital. Well its a new game now. Hospitals now hire doctors to be "Hospitalists" A patient will now see 2 maybe 3 differnet doctors on the hospital stay, And that is if the patient doesnt need a specialist. Why don't you go look up how much a Hospitalist makes in a year.

Look up how much a doctor makes in his general practice. The doctors who have all the material things is no where close to your obviously just made up remarks. Come on man, I know you have no idea because your bs is not true. Now plastics or a neuro surgeon, cardiac surgeon yes money money. Out of graduating class each year how many do you think become neurosurgeons. You must understand 200K or less is nothing great when one has twice that in student loans.

After reading all the posts on this thread I find it so sad that the name calling and such are so rampant here. The usually Re-pubs vs Libs is in full force here. Making a statement to the validity of the original survey and how it is skewed to fit the agenda of the right warrants me to believe if people are serious about the issue, or that a poster just wants to win the old adage, right vs left argument.

I wonder how many here knew that the payments to doctors from cms was dropping during the Bush years? Also, I would hope those who are posting on this thread have done his or her due diligence and realized democrats have been voting against "Obscure" aka Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. Many people (myself included) understand that Healthcare here needs to be overhauled. I firmly believe preventative practice is an excellent idea, but getting the public on board is another thread in itself. An example would be: a person comes to the ER with chest pain and having a heart attack, but never sought help before hand because the doctors won't take Medicare/medical in their office. Since it is inevitable the patient will need a CABG and will use the Medicare/medical to pay for it. Common sense would dictate that should the patient had access to a doctor before the MI the cost would have been much less.

Obscure only gives the patient insurance, not good health. The patient needs to take responsibility for his or her life.
Just think about the morbid obesity going on in this country. I hear clogged arteries, and diabetes knocking on the door.
After reading much of the posts on this thread, it is my opinion that people think doctors are just going to quit and start making burgers, or delivering pizza. What needs to be said is that the doctors in general are going to quit taking Medicare/medical patients, not just quit the profession altogether.

On March 1, 2012 doctors faced an unprecedented cut to their Medicare payments. The 27-percent cut could force even more physicians out of the program. Doctors appear to be losing patience with government-funded health care plans in general. The number of doctors accepting new patients who rely solely on Medicare dropped from 66 percent in 2010 to 58 percent in 2012. Doctors and Nurses work very very hard for their pay.

They're not throwing all those years of schooling away...to go look for another job...there aren't any.

+1 this

What, exactly, are all those doctors going to do after "giving up their practice"? Work at McDonalds? Sorry, Mickey D's doesnt pay for the new his and her Mercedes and the vacation house in Boca.

I know of two MD's that will be closing down their practice if Obamacare is to proceed. One is a Neurologist and the other an OB/GYN. My own doc predicts that the really good docs will go off shore for private pay patients.
