For a second there I thought you were talking about Bammer. Not quite sure about Christie though.

Isn't that Ashton Christie said. That the war on drugs is a failure because we don't offer free rehab? That means his answer to the failed war isn't to end it, its to add "moar gubmint "

An equal problem to this is Americans DEMAND for the illegal drugs..... if this country was not so full of drug addicts, do you think they would be at war to supply America?

It isn't the illegals that are purchasing these drugs...

They are only doing what any capitalist (minus the outright killing) would do.... meeting demand

And this is one area where Obama is dead wrong.

The government needs to end this fruitless and expensive war on drugs.

At this point I think it's just a matter of pride rather than what's best for the citizens.

He has to give speeches; other than laying off state employees, he doesn't do much of anything. Besides, since he declared that he wouldn't be a part of the 2012 Republican Presidential ticket, he goes right back into oblivion if he doesn't do something to keep his name in the media.

Just about every one is a scape goat for the right,if it aint the multi millions of illegals flooding the country every day its the gays and lesbians corrupting American moral character,or those nasty environmentalists trying to make everything nice and clean and pollution free with their darn alternate energy sources and lets not even start on Kenyan Communists out to destroy America.
How observant of Mr Christie to finally come to the conclusion that the drug war aint working,i could have told him as much 25yrs ago..
What does he now suggest? abandoning the war on drugs?,legalizing drugs and selling them like alcohol and taxing them heavily and in that way paying down some of the nations debt through high sin taxes?? .....Nah he aint that smart.
