This is a very useful exercise, as it shows how *
easy* it is to cut government spending and limit increases in taxes - I came up with 94% reduction in spending, and 6% increase in taxes (mainly from limiting tax reductions for providing health insurance).
If only I could be put in charge for a year or 2, there wouldn't be any budget / deficit problems to speak of by the time I got done with the budgetary chainsaw...lol.
It's simple math folks: Take what you've got coming in, and
limit your spending to that amount. That's it. It really is that simple.
