Please. Go ahead make a point about why we need them. Then get out of whatever theory you think works and look at real life. Unless you are all for anarchy and some sort of mad maxx science fiction America, you need police. Without them, the whole judicial system will not work with trials, etc. Homicide will go up, im not even going to keep on talking about a silly topic.
So far you have mentioned trials and homicide rates as reasons why you think organized law enforcement is neccesary. What do police have to do with trials? Trials occur when someone is charged with a crime - and pleads not guilty. Police have nothing to do with a trial - they involve the defendant - attorneys for the prosecution and defense - a jury - and a judge.

One day what a cop tells a person could save someones or that persons life and may not seem as though there is an obvious reason.....you gotta bad attitude.
Smart cops can sense bad attitudes. Bad attitudes are a problem for everyone and interfere with law, order & safety.

There is no law against being disrespectful and NO...one does not have to leave just because a cop says to, unless it is the scene of a crime like a murder or something.
Thats the problem. I will offer a penalty suggestion for disrespect.....confiscation of drivers license for 3 years at the discretion of the officer with an explanation.
If there is no drivers license....removal from any educational institution for 6 months with heavy labor at the discretion of city garbage removal and sorting facilities management..... without compensation save a baloney sandwich less any toppings, or milk.
