Should FBI crack down on assault weapons?

Wow, is it just me, or does Bill O'Reilly endorse more gun control? I always thought the guy was a closet liberal. I haven't been in the country for 5 months and I notice the changes that Fox News has taken, namely their highest rated show has lurched to the left in recent times. The topic isn't about gun control, or my positions or your positions on gun control, this is about Fox News itself.

Not in a million years.

And I agree with an assault weapons ban.

Controlling assault weapons so that psycho-killers don't get hold of them shouldn't be a right/left issue. In a better world, it would merely be common sense.

I added after you guys replied, this topic is about Fox, not about gun control.

Maybe you have gone further right, or maybe Fox is starting to be intellectually honest.

I've definitely not gone further to the right. I've going slightly more towards the center than anything. What does your last sentence mean? You mean, if it's not left-wing, it's not intellectually honest? Why would that be the case? I used to watch Fox when I was here, then left the country for the UK and watched the BBC instead, and noticed Fox is now soft on Obama and their icon is talking about tigher gun restrictions.

O'Reilly was never pro-gun. He's a statist not a liberal though. He always seems to come down on the side of anything anti-freedom, whether it's gun control or the Patriot Act or RealID...

Yes, Murdoch has ordered Fox to shift to anti-gun.

I never watched O'Reilly, I was always more interested in Hannity (definitely more conservative than O'Reilly) and Michael Savage. I'm just surprised that ever since the SCOTUS ruling, O'Reilly has been showing more of his true colors lately. People need to start turning off Fox, I did. I came back one day and turned it on, and turned that garbage off, just like I did with MSNBC and CNN and all the other channels.
