I found this Poll on Delphi Forums and felt is was a great question for a poll.

Which course of action to you think will be more likely to cause the situation in the Middle East to go completely out of control?

Withdrawel of American Forces from Iraq within six months.

If we move against Iran, the entire area will unite against us. Then, when they get rid of us, (and they will) they will turn on each other until the strongest one gets the biggest piece of the pie.

It would be a comfort to pretend that we would never attack Iran, but there is that attitude in Washington that since we are the biggest and best, we deserve to win. And as long as some believe that piece of drivel, there is real danger.

None, b/c who cares? Instead, let's forfeit oil (which is the real reason we're there) and harness geothermal energy instead since the whole entire core of the earth offers energy for all.

That I doubt:

It would not hurt Saudi's feelings to see Iran taken down-------different religions and ethnicities at play here.

Besides: Iran and Iraq fought an 8 year war to basically a stalemate-------we dismantled Iraq in a few weeks back in 1991.

I doubt that Iran is as powerful as they want the world to believe------they are bluffing.

I vote neither - and instead say:

C). A two week long series of Liza Minelli Concerts on the Iraq/Iran border that are broadcasted to all Iranian public radio stations.

I'm not an expert, so I can't say for sure... but withdrawing American troops from Iraq is something that'll have to happen eventually and I don't think the outcome'll be much different whether we start in a week or start a decade from now, honestly. I think bombing Iran'll make things way worse. The Iraqi government & Shiite people'll dislike us even more than they do now.

Damascus won against Medina in 690ad!

Saracen won in the Crusades.

I wouldn't underestimate the Middle East, nor would I invade Iran, nor would I maintain troops, in large numbers, in Iraq.
