On Wednesday, President Obama argued that not raising taxes on certain households amounts to a "giveaway" from the government.
On Thursday, White House spokesman Jay Carney repeated and defended the term "giveaway."
Chalk it up as another example of a "You didn't build that" worldview.
If you really do want to turn federal spending into a R vs D issue, you'll have to realize that it's the Democrats in those red states who are raking in the bulk of the federal welfare spending. 60-80% of welfare recipients are Democrats.
And there you have the signature of a true statist. Obama believes that all money belongs to the federal government rather than to the people whom have earned it.
I see Obama has written yet another campaign ad for the GOP.
