It takes seconds for a burglar to invade a home and kill people, it takes many minutes for the police to respond to an emergency call....

The situation described no doubt happensbut is extremely remote for 99.9% of the population. Being in the wrong place, having a weapon and being able to use it without engangering more people, odds are rather high that you will never experience that situation in your lifetime, unless you work in a liquor store in an inner city neighborhood. He stopped the person with the knife, good for him but I have a better chance of wiinning Powerball than being in that situation. Don't let that stop you, wear that gun wherever you go.

Nice saying. The relality can be hours and even if they are just 3 blocks away... I have 2 dead just for that very reason. My wife still misses her father and her step mom..

You have that nailed hard..... The cops have no legal autority to be anyone's personal body guards.

I'm asking because you made such a big deal about the cops not being right there when the incident occurred. In fact, that was your first insulting response to my post. Go back and READ! Or maybe one of your kids can read it for you. Maybe.

My town has 3 cops and the state police are off duty after 8 pm..... The county farm is more than 30 miles oneway, and where you go if you are still healthy enough once the cops have arrived..

Do me a favor and do not move to NH USA!

In myy experience it was a dinkweed town in middle east NH called bartlett, off a dead end road where I lived next to the White Mtn National Forest.. See a NH map and find North Conway look west to Bear Notch Rd...

The wrong place was my home, the weapon was a great dane and a 12 ga.... The bad guys weapon was a steel bar and what ever else he may have had. The time was apx 2:45 AM The month was Sept.

I only stopped that bad guy but for good.... His life has been spent weaving baskets maybe if the spinal injury allows it, he can not walk. Do I feel bad in the slightest Hell NO!
