I understand that the most liberal states are often times the states with higher rates of education than others.

But incidentally, such places are more 'politically correct' than others. ( Example: Using terms like 'African-American' and just calling white people 'whites' in the same sentence as if whites are second class citizens.) Another example: mayors not wanting chik-fil-a over what its owner said. (are there ingredients in that food which cause homophobia or something?)

there are personality traits associated with liberals and conservatives, both good and bad for both major ideologies. Not sure what the cause of all the nonsense is though.

When someone is being racist, you tell them to shut the **** up and stop with that. Nothing intellectual about it, just an issue of decency and morality.
