Anti-smoking advocates put great stock in the the notion of second-hand smoke, that smoking uniquely affects people other than the smoker.
But now we have a study that finds that there is also 'second hand obesity' or harmful effects from obesity on those other than the obese. Could this open the door to a treatment of overeating and bad foods similary to what we have done with tobacco? Mega taxation and regulation. I don't really see why not. The logic is inexorable.
Second hand obesity? Like what a parent's obesity does to the self esteem of the kids? Yup, it computes...
